Visit some of the best bike trails…right here in Minnesota!

The Twin Cities features some of the nation’s best bike trails. Minnesota has over 4,000 miles of paved trails. Many are along former railroad beds, and these offer secluded, scenic biking. Some of the longest paved trails are Root River, Paul Bunyan, and Central Lake trails. I personally have walked and biked the Paul Bunyan trail many times and it is amazing.

Minnesota is home to a wide variety of mountain bike trails. Many of these trails stay open for fat biking all winter. It ranges from the lift-served downhill trails in Duluth to the red dirt trail at Cuyuna with its 800 acres. Some of the best mountain biking is the 100 plus mile of trails at Duluth Traverse Winds. A great trail system in the Twin Cities is Lebanon Hills in Eagan.

Here is a Minnesota biking guide.

The DNR also has a guide to bike trails throughout the State of Minnesota. You can find many more options on their website.

Minnesota has more miles of bike trails in any other state in the nation! In 2017 we received the award for the 2nd most bicycle-friendly state in the nation by the League of American Bicyclists. Exceeded only by the state of Washington.

The State of Minnesota offers so many world class things to do and enjoy. And biking is just one of them!
