Pier 500 in Hudson Restaurant Review

Pier 500 in Hudson Restaurant Review

Pier 500 in Hudson, Wisconsin

Splendid view, great food, and great service. That is what I always get here. It is looking right across from the St. Croix River and the view is breathtaking. You have an outdoor bar and dining patio and plenty of indoor dining with equally amazing views. Here is the link to Pier 500.

Here is my review of the everyone at the table.

The dinner menu. The lunch menu.

· Pier Steak Tenderloin Salad – grilled beef tenderloin, mixed greens tossed with balsamic vinaigrette, tomatoes, grilled potatoes, sautéed fresh mushrooms, Maytag blue cheese crumbles. `Such a treat to have the steak to be tenderloin with this salad…normally I get sirloin at restaurants. It was wonderful and a value at $17.00!

· Parmesan Crusted Walleye – pan fried, wild rice, cranberry-almond green beans, and tartar sauce. The walleye was so flakey and tender, beans were cooked perfect and wild rice was a prefect pairing.

· New York Strip steak – we had a black and blue (but medium rare). Served Sul Lago Style with caramelized onions, mushrooms, topped with a blue cheese and fresh herb cream sauce. This was as good as a New York can be…so much flavor!

· Cowboy Burger – house made BBQ sauce, hometown cheddar, crispy onions and smoke house bacon and fries that were as good as McDonalds! This thing was six inches tall and outstanding!

Conclusion

I can only tell you that this is a must visit…even if you are concerned about Covid because the tables are surrounded by plastic, transparent glass!
