Victoria is in Carver County, Minnesota. It is part of the Minneapolis-Saint Paul metropolitan area that has 3.52 million residents. It is located south of Saint Paul. It has a commute time of 35 minutes to Minneapolis.

Victoria has been nicknamed The City of Lakes and Parks”. It has over 200 acres of reserved land, thirteen parks and nine lakes within its borders. Victoria is also home to the Carver Park Reserve which has 1,800 acres.

The first settler was in 1851. The city was named after St. Victoria church. Steamboats from St. Paul started bringing supplies to the settlers in 1858. The settlement continued to grow because of the areas rich soil. Then with steamboats from Chaska and the railroad from St. Paul this area became a thriving community.

My conclusion

To summarize, I have found Victoria to be a popular city. Importantly, it has wonderful parks, lakes, trails,

schools, and a high quality of life. In short, I suggest considering Victoria if you are planning on moving to the Twin Cities of Minnesota.
