The City of Lilydale is in Dakota County, Minnesota. Lilydale is part of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Lilydale is a first-ring suburb.

Established in 1886 and named after the abundance of lily pads in Pickerel Lake. In 1901 the community became a village. The majority of the population is located on the river bluffs, overlooking the beautiful Mississippi River.

My conclusion

To summarize, I have found Lilydale to be an extremely popular city. Importantly, it features good school systems, a very convenient location, wonderful Mississippi River views and is highly rated in many categories. In short, I strongly suggest considering Lilydale if you are planning on moving to the Twin Cities of Minnesota.
