Ciao Bella in Bloomington Restaurant Review

Let me tell you about it.

Ciao Bella is located 3501 Minnesota Drive in Bloomington. It is just off France Ave and the 494 exits.

They say, “We serve simple, fresh Italian cuisine made from local ingredients.” They are so much more. They buy local in-season produce, fish is flown in daily, farmed local meets are 100% natural, vegetarian-fed, and hormone and antibiotic free and desserts are made with certified organic dairy products.

The building.

Conveniently located to highway access. Have nice patio area, beautiful bar, dining room with a stately fireplace, oversize booths, and nice open, large spaces. My only complaint is the acoustics inside are not good when it is busy (which is all the time). So, if you have hearing issues then get a small, intimate booth or eat outside. Otherwise, you will not be able to talk and listen very well.

The Menu

Here is a link to the lunch and dinner menus. They offer many exceptional items and something for everyone.

My food reviews.

Here are the items I had and my comments.

· Caramelized Brussel Sprouts – cooked with honey and almonds. Simply wonderful and quite rich, great thing to share!

· Ahi Tuna Spring roll – with avocado, soy, and wasabi sauces. This was also a table favorite; the roll was tasty and delicate, and everyone loved it.

· Linguini Di Mare – has shrimp, scallops, mussels, ahi tuna, salmon, sea bass and saffron-tomato broth. So many flavors and fish…I loved it. The linguini was wonderful. It was so much, and I was surprised that I finished it all. It was also served with warm, fresh bread that was as good as you are going to find.

Service

Attentive and friendly. Again, the acoustics are bad, so she had to really struggle to be heard in the noise and with a mask. But she did a great job!

This is a restaurant you want to be sure to put on your food bucket list and visit soon!

Next week we will talk about another aspect of what is great in Minnesota.

Honestly if you cannot find something fun to do in the State of Minnesota all year long…then you are not looking!
